Canadian Border Outfitters - Crane Lake

Crane Lake is the southern entrance to Voyageur's National Park. The lodges on Lac La Croix use Crane lake as a starting off point. You'll enter Ontario through a Water Customs Station located on Sand Point Lake. Crane Lake is located off of Highway 53 North, 28 miles from Orr, Minnesota via Highway 23. Lac La Croix is a border lake surrounded by Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) to the south, and to the north lies the pristine beauty of Ontario's Quetico Park. Both are protected canoe parks, with no road access, La Croix easily boasts some of the finest fishing in the world. Lac La Croix and surrounding lakes are home to an abundant number of smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye, lake trout, crappie, sturgeon, brook trout and white fish. Namakan Lake, which is an 18 miles boat ride from Crane Lake, is just a few miles from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area to the south and the Voyageur's National Park to the West and Quetico Provincial Park to the East.
